Hi Haven Manor had been a family run business for over 40 years. Originally, it was a tavern and motel with cabins for people to stay in and areas for people to camp. When the refinery shut down, Hi Haven Manor was made into a care home.
In 2015 it came under new owners and management who made updates and renovations to the building and facilities.
At Hi Haven Manor we aim to provide a comprehensive care plan for each of our residents through supportive, recreational, medical, and psychosocial services. The fact that our program is government subsidized, means that potential residents can apply for financing.
We assist residents to reach their maximum potential for growth and development through our program. To do that, we offer a long term home
and surrogate family setting and we work to develop programming appropriate to the needs of those residents.
At Hi Haven Manor we treat each of our residents and each staff member as part of our family.
We are also delighted to note that several of our staff members have already completed their PCA (Personal Care Attendant) course.
We establish and maintain relationships with residents’ families and friends, and encourage visits.
